EICON NETWORKS' DIVA 2400 SERIES OF ADSL PRODUCTS COMPLETE NET TO NET TECHNOLOGIES' COMPATIBILITY TESTS

IPacket and AutoIP Certifications Confirm Eicon Networks' Diva ADSL CPE Interoperability

MONTREAL, April 10, 2001 - Eicon Networks Corporation, a worldwide provider of secure Internet connectivity products, today announced that its Diva 2400 Series of ADSL Internet access products have successfully completed Net to Net Technologies' interoperability testing, which certifies full compatibility with Net to Net's IPacket™ and AutoIP™ technologies.

IPacket certification confirms that Eicon's Diva 2400 Series of ADSL products, including the Diva 2430 and 2430 SE ADSL Modems and the Diva 2440 ADSL Router, are fully interoperable with Net to Net's IP DSL Access Multiplexers (DSLAMs), while AutoIP certification indicates full Plug and Play capability. Industry and DSLAM manufacturer certifications were designed to facilitate seamless standards-based DSL service integration with any IP network that today's service providers are deploying.

Net to Net's DSL solutions have been specifically developed for today's advanced IP networks. The company provides native IP broadband access equipment to simplify delivery of IP services over DSL or other WAN technologies. Net to Net specializes in taking the guesswork out of broadband networking, making DSL service deployment easier for its customers.

Hugues de Fombelle, Eicon Networks' Product Group Manager for Internet Access - DSL stated, "We are very pleased to be certified with Net to Net's DSLAMs. The combination of products from Net to Net and Eicon gives Internet Service Providers a variety of ADSL solutions that focus on low total cost of ownership and easy deployment."

Eicon's Diva 2400 Series meets or exceeds all of Net to Net's deployment standards, giving Internet Service Providers a highly advantageous ADSL Internet access device to pair with Net to Net's DSLAMs or mini-DSLAMs. Used together, the two products offer high-speed connections to multiple users with ease and grace.

"Eicon's Diva 2400 Series works seamlessly with our DSLAMs and mini-DSLAMs," said Chris Carrier, Net to Net's Director of Business Development. "With their ease-of-use and adaptability, Eicon's Diva 2400 Series products offer a fantastic DSL access solution."

Eicon's Diva 2400 Series products are widely interoperable, ensuring they can be deployed in a variety of locations. Set-Up Wizards enable even non-technical users to easily install and configure the devices, while reducing support costs to service providers. Sporting both USB and Ethernet interfaces, Diva 2400 Series products can be installed in legacy as well as newer PCs. The USB installation eliminates the need to open the PC to insert a network interface card. An integrated telephone port with micro-filter preserves voice and fax quality on a telephone or fax connected to the unit. Virtual Private Networking is also supported, providing secure access to shared files and emails over the Internet. Both G.Lite and Full-Rate ADSL are supported.

The Diva 2430 SE ADSL Modem also includes Eicon's Connect & Surf technology that enables it to automatically detect ADSL network parameters, while its built-in PPPoE and PPPoA client eliminates the need to install PC-based connection software.
